The Apprentice 2019
The Apprentice is back for another series where another 15 bright eyed candidates will compete to win Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment.
As ever, they’re a healthy bunch of ambitious types, each believing they have what it ultimately takes to be the one Lord Sugar should back.
They’ll first have to work together though, completing a series of tasks, as a united team, under the watchful eyes of working Mum Karren Brady and Claude Littner in order to impress Lord Sugar at the end of each task’s final showdown.
This year, there’s 2 working mums in the line up, and always ones to back a fellow working mum, here’s all about this year’s mum-contestants:
Jemelin Artigas
Jemelin Artigas, is a 34 year old networking marketing consultant from Venezuela and according to her Insta profile, a ’mumpreneur’.

She’s a Global Business Partner for Limitless Beauty, which combines social networking with the health and wellness industry. She promotes NuSkin products, an American company that says its products sell in over 50 markets and has sold ‘billions’.
Jemelin considers resilience to be one of her best personal qualities, having come from a humble background in Venezuela. She describes herself as competitive and fearless in business, stating she is “1000% committed” to winning every task. However, she also warns that she can also be “next-level stubborn” and likes things done her way.
If that’s true, she’ll sure get plenty of airtime!
Lubna Farhan
Lubna Farhan is a 33 year old Finance Manager and mother of two.

Lubna says that good role models were lacking in her life so she decided to become her own. She enjoyed studying and focused on educating herself first, which gave her the confidence to pursue her dreams and aspirations. Now, she believes she “has the whole package”, book smarts and street smarts, and describes herself as “a dark horse”.
She says: “I came from a council estate… I have made myself into something good and I’m on my way to becoming something great”.
Her LinkedIn profile show an impressive history; having graduated with a First Class Degree in Accounting from the University of Hertfordshire, Lubna spent 12 years in the finance industry working for big-named brands such as Costa. She is currently listed as the finance manager of Tesco over in Welwyn.
She is also a business consultant for ‘Business Decoded’. Which, according to its website, is a one-stop shop for businesses of all sizes, and “provides a variety of tailored business services, from creating business plans to motivational speaking, at your business or event, and everything in between.”
