Rachel Michaelson; Mindset Coach

Rachel Michaelson is an extraordinary woman, mother and entrepreneur.

In a world where anxiety and mental health issues can all too often take the shine off life, Rachel changed her own narrative and became a mindfulness and mental health coach. Combining her creative nature with down-to-earth tactics for raising esteem, strengthening confidence and getting in the flow, Rachel has developed a unique gift for creating happiness while ensuring that her clients are empowered and ready to take on whatever life throws at them.

She’s a scriptwriter, disabled actor and mother of a child with complex needs as well as a full time coach, but she manages to combine her demanding schedule with a mindful and empathic outlook on life, work and creativity.

But it hasn’t been plain sailing for Rachel.

She says “When life deals you blows that you think you’ll never come back from it can be pretty hard to deal with. This was me a few years ago. I was told I was pretty much worth nothing to society anymore and I should just get used to my life being miserable and worth nothing.”

“My light came when I sought out alternative therapies for pain, depression and anxiety, I was on medication prior to this and I was a talking zombie ambling hopelessly through my so-called life. When I found that I could be medication free and actually look at life through crystal clear clarity I opted for this.”

She went on to study, and qualified in alternative therapies and mindset coaching, and nows run her own business enabling others to find their inner warrior and gain balance in their professional and personal lives; “I help people to discover what lights up their lives and gives them purpose and happiness”

Rachel is the bestselling author of Life, the Universe & M.E. Punch Anxiety in the Face, and she is designing a course to go into schools with in the near future.

Rachel’s success means that she now has more time to spend loving life with her family which she says has in turn lit up her life even further; “my family have been my rock and have supported me throughout my journey and the fact I get to share my happy life with them is amazing.”

Rachel’s great news is that in the coming months, she will be opening up the doors to her new program where individuals will be able to discover and unlock blockages, learn self care and healing and coping strategies to keep them focused and grounded when all around them seems to be chaos (the swan effect).

Here’s some Rachel-isms that we love:

“Give yourself permission to switch off from people that are dragging you down. You can switch that negativity off like a light if you choose – but we hold on to those feelings out of fear. Try it & see how good it feels!”

“I live my life the way I want and need to – join the journey or catch another train. This means I’m happy to wave at everyone from the window or chat at the station, but I only want people close to me if they’re going in the same direction.”
