Ollie is the toy for the big boys! At £79.99 it is certainly not the cheapest gift on the list but it is fabulous fun! Made by the creators of the Sphero, Ollie is the new generation of “remote controlled gadgets”, making it easy to use with your phone. If we are honest, it is really too quick to use properly indoors. Its top speed is 14mph (wow), that’s around 6m a second so unless you have an impressive floor space, it is really best used outside. Once you have got to grips with it, Ollie can do some fairly impressive things and you are totally in control via your smartphone. We like how you can customise it with different tyres depending on terrain (but this is at extra cost) but overall, it is another great product from Sphero and we know a lot of children (big and small) who will have endless hours of fun with Ollie this Christmas! |
