Each year we long for one of our mums to win #VOOM Pitch to Rich and in 2012 we were within touching distance when Maria Albertsen came in as a runner up and won backing from Sir Rich for her business RagHeroes.
But for 2015, my goodness Virgin Media Business have upped their game and we at MumsClub HQ are really quite excited! There is now a whopping ONE MILLION POUNDS worth of prizes! What could you do with a share of that? It could be game changing for so many businesses out there.
So let’s see who we can inspire this year. We want YOU to enter and we’ll help you as much as we can, we can bring in more tips and ideas and when it goes to public voting, we’ll get behind you!

The Categories
Winners in each of the three categories will be chosen by the Virgin founder, along with a prestigious team of judges, in a live final on the 26th June:
Start-up:
for exciting new businesses with huge potential.
The winner gets £150,000 marketing support plus mentoring and help from Virgin StartUp’s professional business advisers for a year. Two runners-up receive £50,000 marketing support.
New Things:
for big new ideas with the capacity to disrupt.
The winner gets £50,000 cash towards development, plus mentoring from Virgin’s Investment Team. Two runners-up receive £10,000 each towards development.
Grow:
for existing businesses that are ready to go big-time.
The winner gets £250,000 marketing support, and two runners-up receive £100,000 marketing support.
Prizes
All three category winners will also receive a full internet and fixed and mobile voice package from Virgin Media Business for 12 months, unlimited travel on Virgin Trains for 12 months, a place on the Accelerator Network programme (www.theacceleratornetwork.com/), a free package of pro bono advice from the ICAEW Business Advice Service (www.businessadviceserviceblog.com) and a membership to the not-for-profit private members club at The House of St Barnabas (www.hosb.org.uk).

The schedule and judges for the Pitch to Rich 2015 regional tour is:
Manchester – April 21st – Richard Reed, Innocent & Renaud Visage, Eventbrite
Birmingham – April 22nd – Sharmadean Reid, Wah Nails
Brighton – April 23rd – Jonas Druppel, Dubsmash & Rob Love, Crowdfunder and River Cottage
Cardiff – April 28th – Paul Lindley, Ella’s Kitchen Founder
Edinburgh – April 29th – Jo Malone, Founder of Jo Malone and Jo Loves
Belfast – April 30th – Stephen Greene, Founder Ed’s Easy Diner.
The events will run from 5.30 to 8pm. Even if you are just attending the event and not planning to enter Pitch to Rich, this is a chance to hear from successful entrepreneurs and listen to some young local entrepreneurs embarking on the start of entrepreneurial journey.
