Reviewing guidelines
As a premium member, you’ll be able to request the review products that we’re asked to review. As from May 2019, they’ll be sent out on the almost daily alerts bulletin. Simply reply to the email expressing your interest in reviewing.
In the meantime, take a look at our guidelines.
How to apply
If you are willing and able to review within the timescale, simply reply to the email expressing your interest. You MUST be able to make time to review the product, take photos and send them to us within a week of receiving the item.
Being chosen
The chosen reviewer(s) will be notified by within 5 days. Please note that applying does not guarantee being chosen. We choose reviewers based on the suitability of the product to the reviewer, the demographics of their family, the reviewers past reliability, and the amount of products they have already received.
Timescale
By applying, you agree to supply a written review of the product, along with landscape photos within 1 week of receipt. Video reviews are welcome, but only in support of your written copy.

What happens next
We will publish your review and promote to our network. You keep the product to enjoy. We don’t insist but we’d love it if you could like, comment or share your review on social media.

Rules of reviewing
Reviews will be added as soon as they become available. If you are willing and able to do the review please indicate in a comment beneath the post. Please also indicate if you feel your site is particularly relevant (see note in choosing the reviewers below).
You must submit your review to us within 1 week of the event, or receiving the product.
We also ask you to post the review on your own website; we use this benefit to attract more product and venue reviews.
Choosing the reviewers
We will strive to be fair at all times, ensuring all members are able to review products. But there are times when you may stand a better chance:
- Some products will be more suited to certain websites or blogs so please let us know if you feel your site is particularly relevant. For example, your blog may be wedding themed, if a wedding related product comes up, you would clearly be perfect.
- If you have a suitable blog or website we ask you to post the review there too. Some companies will insist on this.
- Some PR companies require accomplished bloggers and writers to carry out the review so sometimes you may be chosen with regard to the popularity of your website.
This will all help us continue to impress the PR companies who give us the reviews and ensure more keep coming.
If you are selected to review a product or venue we will message you via facebook. If you are doing a venue review you must provide us with FULL BOOKING DETAILS within 7 days or you risk losing the review to another member.
Venue or Event reviews
If you are unable to make a review please contact us ASAP. You can email jane@mumsclub.co.uk or text or call 07545 151 105. Please try all 3 until you get hold of Jane.
If you are a no-show at an event without giving notice, you may forfeit being chosen for further reviews.
The official reviewer must be the person to attend, it is not transferable. If you are unable to go, you must inform us ASAP so we can pass the opportunity to another member.
Review Deadlines
We have to ensure reviews are completed quickly:
Product and event reviews within 1 week of receiving the product or attending the event.
Book reviews – 1 month
If you are consistently late in submitting reviews we may not be able to consider you for further reviews. We obviously don’t want to do this.
