Unique handpainted Name pictures framed or on a canvas. Any name and theme is possible, this is a bespoke service.
Why should customers and clients use your services?
I offer a unique bespoke and friendly handpainted service aiming to produce any required theme and name. This can be a complete gift with the option of a contemporary white frame or a simple square canvas. I also offer the option of the name origin beneath the name, special dates and a birth weight can also be added to the bottom.
When & how did you start up in business?
2006 a month after my son was born and during my illustration degree I decided to offer other people the keepsakes I was creating for my son.
How did you decide what business to go into, and what was your motivation?
My initial motivation was my son,i only had a part time Restaurant job and therefore decide to utilise my talent and make something of myself for him to be proud of in the future. I also wanted to offer other people something i could make myself which cannot be bought on the highstreet. I could not buy anything of this sort in the shops therfore decided to make what i had in my head. I realise that there was nothing out there in terms of a bespoke service and nothing quite matched the decor and theme i had in my nursery. This was fortunately loved by other people too who have encouraged me to paint the hundreds of names i have already done.
What were the most challenging aspects to setting up?
The most challenging aspect was my website which is still in need of some work. I have had no experience in web design so found this to be the biggest mountain.I do think i use it as a glorified gallery to house my many name pictures!
What has been your biggest business achievement?
ermmmm i'll have to get back to this one when i achieve it!:-)
How do you manage to juggle your business with family life? Has it been challenging?
Very challenging. I use my sleeping time to paint and weekends(when i'm not being dragged to the park!) I thoroughly enjoy anything art related and it is my first passion
