Easter Gift Guide 2014

Easter is on the horizon and MumsClub are always looking for alternatives to the “norm”, the unique, quirky or innovative ideas that we are renowned for.

So if you fancy something different to chocolate this Easter, take a look at our gift guide for some great ideas.

Chicco Pull along Rabbit

£14.99 www.chicco.co.uk
This gift is perfect for the parent who wants to go back to simple and natural products for their baby. We love that the rabbit can help little ones explore their environments and start to move objects on their own and the vibrant colours and playful character is designed to stimulate baby’s skills and progression during each growth phase. At £14.99, it is an affordable gift that will be treasured long after all the Easter Eggs are eaten.

Chicco SweetHeart Lamb

RRP £19.99 www.chicco.co.uk
This adorable SweetHeart Lamb, is a cuddly comforter, perfect for helping to relax babies as they drift off to sleep. The blue heart in the middle of the lamb lights up softly and plays a gentle Brahms lullaby to soothe babies and assist them in developing a regular sleep routine. This is suitable from birth, so is not only a great Easter gift but perfect for any time of the year.

Easter Painting Kit

RRP £9.99 www.mollieandfred.co.uk
Why not appeal to their creative side, rather than their sweet tooth by allowing them to get creative with this fun Easter Bunny Painting Kit this Easter! It is reminiscent of the Russian dolls I had a child but even though it is a perfect storage pot, children will be much more excited by creating their very own designer egg this Easter.

Gone Crabbing soap

£4.99 www.gonecrabbing.co.uk
There is no secret that we LOVE Gone Crabbing soaps. We have featured them previously and we think that they are a great alternative to an Easter Egg. The smell absolutely divine and without stating the obvious, they are a “proper” soap. We love the quirky names, from “Totally Clawsome” to “Squeaky Clean Soap” but our absolute favourite has to be “Mussel Man Soap”. It is a great choice for those teenage boys who are a little bit too old for an Easter Egg …. And maybe thankful of something to freshen them up!

Socker Boppers

RRP £9.999 – Available from Toys R Us, Amazon and www.wickedmedia.com
The Socker Boppers are an awesome way to engage the whole family this Easter. Just slip your hands inside these inflatable gloves and sock ‘n’ bop away. They are a great way for kids to burn off all those chocolate Easter Eggs too!

Miffy Farmer Backpacks

RRP £14.99 www.miffyshop.co.uk
Now it has to be said that the Mumsclub team love a bag and we love these gorgeous bags from the Miffy range. It is not only adorable but practical too, the bag has a main compartment and front pocket and has adjustable padded straps, making it perfect for play school or play time!

Funky giraffe bibs

From £1.98 each Funky Giraffe Bibs
First and foremost, we LOVE how a mum is behind the Funky Giraffe brand but secondly we love the quality and funky designs. We love that the more you buy, the more you save too. It is a win win for style and purse savvy mums and an ideal Easter gift.

Little Life Animal daysacks

From safe tots RRP £17.99 safetots
The Littlelife Animal Toddler Daysack is a charming backpack with a detachable rein, perfect for embracing children’s natural instinct for exploring whilst also providing parents with control. Let’s be perfectly honest, a toddler can be the biggest source of joy and the biggest worry. They have the ability to wriggle out of your arms or hands in a millisecond so this is a perfect compromise. Our little explorers tested the Butterfly and Shark styles, both of which were great quality and loved by our mini reviewers and our mums loved giving them freedom whilst “reigning” supreme.

Playmobil Gift Egg

From John Lewis £5.99 www.johnlewis.com
If you are intent on giving an egg this Easter, why not choose this Playmobil Gift Egg as a great alternative to chocolate? There are a variety of Plyamobil designs to choose from so there really is something for everyone. They are not suitable for the under 3’s but as they appeal to the 3-10 age range, it is a gift that can be played with for years.

Yo!Bot the Smartphone Robot

From Ebuyer RRP £14.99
The sales blurb told us that this is a smartphone powered robot that can be programmed and controlled from anywhere in the world. You can use another device or computer from anywhere in the world and it lets you see what the on-board camera sees, navigate courses etc… It is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5 and Android phones that run Adobe AIR. It is very cool, we just need to book a flight somewhere across the other side of the world to double check this, for research purposes only of course 

Gazillion Bubble Football

From House of Fraser RRP £6.99 – currently on offer at £3.99
Easter is a time for being outdoors with the family and now that the weather is getting a little warmer, it is a perfect time to be enjoying the outdoors. All you need to do is fill this ball with the Gazillion bubble solution and it will release a steady stream of bubbles as you throw it through the air. It is currently on offer with House of Frazer, which makes it an affordable and fun gift to give this Easter.

Gourmet Marshmallows

The Marshmallowists
We couldn’t have an Easter Gift Guide without the inclusion of something tasty and delicious could we? So when we were offered the chance to try gourmet marshmallows from The Marshmallowists, we felt obliged to share this with you! Smart and Simms (The Marshmallowists) use nothing but whole fresh fruit & essential oils for a totally natural & true flavour. It is great to know that they are egg white, dairy & gluten free but are unfortunately unsuitable for vegetarians. If you are expecting pink and white fluffy marshmallows then you will be very much mistaken, so if you do want to try something new this Easter …. Try a gourmet marshmallow!
