How making your bathroom child friendly could help you win the Game of Thrones* We’re moving house soon, yey. Although I’ll save the celebratory whoops of joy until we’re in. It’s a stressful time, knowing where to go, the area, schools and so on, that’s even before you’ve come to the inside of the property. The bathroom in the new house does need some TLC, in fact we have named it Winterfell because it’s so cold. But I’ve been researching the best ways to do it up and make it child friendly because believe me it’s currently not even slightly friendly let alone fit for a child. It’s currently a grotty green, enough said. I don’t want to overhaul the room, I just want it simple, safe and pretty. I don’t ask for much....

Cutting the cost as a wedding guest...

Some interesting facts found me this week and with a wedding to attend in just 2 weeks, it’s come at a great time.  It’s not a close friend’s wedding although I do like the couple a great deal, but I’m not a ceremony guest. I’ve had a few weddings recently and I often wonder about the protocol in gift buying, if it’s a close friend and you’re off to the whole shebang then you’ll be more likely to want to buy a great and possibly expensive gift but not so much when you’re a ‘periphery pal’. So what’s the protocol? You don’t want to come over as mean on the couple’s big day but it’s not your big day and when you’re on your 4th wedding of the summer, it becomes rather pricey, does...

Back to School Guide 2015

by

Back to school 2015 Now I think we can safely presume that nobody is missing the school run but as we approach midway of the summer holidays, that back to school rush will be upon us in no time. We believe strategic planning of those essential items will preserve ours and your sanity so here’s our pick of the bunch of essential back to school buys.           Sorgenfresser Worry Eaters Available in 3 different sizes; key ring (£6), junior (£12.50) and classic (£20) from www.amazon.co.uk.
